Job Description

Dwyer Workforce Development's (DWD) mission is to provide comprehensive support to individuals who lack opportunity and aspire to pursue a career in the healthcare industry, alleviate a severe healthcare workforce shortage, and improve the lives of seniors and the community at large. Position Summary: We are seeking a dynamic and talented Communications Associate to join our team. The ideal candidate will be an excellent writer, capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously, and proficient in using graphic design software for creating engaging visual content. This role is crucial in helping us effectively communicate our mission, programs, and impact to a diverse audience. Key Responsibilities: • Content Creation: Develop, write, edit, and proofread a variety of content including newsletters, social media posts, press releases, emails, flyers and website copy. Be adept in capturing video content/editing for social media posts. • Social Media Management: Develop and implement social media campaigns and strategies to increase engagement and followers across platforms. Generate and collect content for all DWD social platforms – FB, IG, Linkedin and Cooleaf. • Project Management: Handle multiple communications projects at once, ensuring timely and accurate completion. Manage DWD communications calendar and help the team adhere to all deadlines. • Graphic Design: Create visually appealing graphics for social media, newsletters, emails and other digital platforms. • Email Marketing: Develop and execute email marketing campaigns to drive engagement. Create compelling email content, including subject lines, copy, and visuals. Manage and segment email lists to ensure targeted and personalized campaigns. • Photography Archiving: Assist in documenting events, programs, and activities through photography. Work with team members and partners to create an organized digital library of visual assets. Organize and archive photographs and visual content to ensure easy retrieval. • Event Support: Provide communications support for events, including promotional materials, event coverage, and post-event follow-up. • Analytics: Monitor and report on the effectiveness of communication strategies and campaigns, using data to inform future efforts. Qualifications: • Bachelor's degree in Communications, Marketing, Journalism, or a related field. • Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in a communications role. Skills: • Exceptional writing, editing, and proofreading skills. • Strong project management abilities, with the capacity to juggle multiple tasks and deadlines. • Proficiency in graphic design tool and basic video/photography. • Familiarity with social media platforms and best practices. • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team. Compensation Disclosure: In accordance with Maryland's Equal Pay for Equal Work Act, we are committed to providing transparent wage information for all posted job opportunities. The wage range for this position $50,000 to $55,000 per year. Compensation is determined based on factors such as Experience, Qualifications, and Internal equity.
