Job Description

The Web Designer is Responsible for creating and maintaining visually stunning and user-friendly web designs that align with our brand identify. They will collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and launch new features, ensuring the best possible performance, quality, and responsiveness of our web applications. The Web Designer will also collaborate with stakeholders throughout the organization as well as external stakeholders. 

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Create visually engaging and user-centered designs for web applications and sites, focusing on layout, color schemes, typography, and overall aesthetics.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including developers, product managers, and marketing, to translate user requirements into effective design solutions.
  • Develop wireframes, prototypes, and mockups to communicate design concepts and iterate based on feedback.
  • Ensure designs are responsive and optimized for various devices and screen sizes.
  • Implement and maintain best practices in UI/UX design, accessibility, and usability to enhance user engagement and satisfaction.
  • Work on SEO strategies by integrating design elements that improve visibility and user experience across web platforms.
  • Stay up-to-date with emerging design trends, tools, and technologies, advocating for their adoption when appropriate.
  • Conduct user testing and gather feedback to continuously improve designs and user experience.
  • Create and maintain documentation for design processes, style guides, and user interface patterns.
  • Integrate data from various back-end services and databases.
  • Maintain all current and create new e-Commerce pages; including but not limited to uploading images, inputting data, and descriptions, linking to CNH's e-commerce page, optimize the PDP (Product Digital Page), manage GTM and ensure tags are working properly, manage and enhance search functionality, and repair link or conversion tracking issues that may arise.
  • SEO development and maintenance including but not limited to SEM Rush website recommendations and working with marketing and SEM coordinator to ensure Google page rank is increasing our visibility across all web platforms.
  • Create site back-ups and update site plug ins and themes as needed.
  • Monthly reporting of keyword reports, page KPI's, and cart revenue reports.
  • Optimize web applications for maximum speed, scalability, and responsiveness
  • Troubleshoot and debug issues across multiple browsers and devices.
  • Continuously improve development processes and tools to increase efficiency and productivity.
  • Comply with established change management policies and procedures.
  • Other duties as defined.
Requirements :

  • Proven experience as a Web Designer, with a strong portfolio showcasing your work in UI/UX design.
  • Proficiency in design tools such as Adobe Creative Suite, WordPress, Shopify, or similar software.
  • Strong understanding of UI/UX principles and best practices.
  • Experience with responsive design techniques and frameworks.
  • Experience with web analytics tools like GA4 to inform design decisions.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Strong organizational skills to juggle multiple tasks within the constraints of timelines and budgets with business acumen.
  • Highly motivated with a passion for design and a strong curiosity about user experience trends.
  • Experience with Search Engine Optimization (SEO) principles as they relate to design.
  • SSO experience and firm understanding of SEO principles and techniques
  • Aggressive problem diagnosis and creative problem-solving skills.
  • Proactive and self-directed with a strong curiosity in technological advancements
  • A solid understanding of how web applications work including security, session management, and best development practices.
  • Strong written and communication skills: Communication: Regular communication with users, management, IT staff, Marketing staff, Finance, and HR, to define system solutions and ensure efficiency, integrity, and scalability of processes.
Preferred:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Web Design, or a related field.
  • 2+ years of experience in web design or a related role, with a strong portfolio demonstrating expertise in UI/UX design.
  • Experience with content management systems (e.g., WordPress, Shopify).
  • Experience with web analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics) and basic SEO principles.
  • Strong understanding of HTML, CSS, and responsive design principles.
  • Experience of web security best practices and techniques.
  • Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Google Cloud Platform) as they pertain to design.
  • Experience with automated testing and continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines.
  • Involvement in design communities or contributions to open-source projects.
