Description

We are seeking an experienced and strategic Vice President (VP) of Marketing and Merchandising to lead and oversee our company’s marketing and merchandising operations. As the VP of Marketing and Merchandising, you will play a pivotal role in shaping our brand, driving revenue growth, and ensuring seamless coordination between marketing efforts and product presentation. Reporting directly to the GVP, you’ll be responsible for developing and implementing cohesive strategies that elevate our brand, engage customers, and optimize sales.

Job Responsibilities

Marketing Strategy and Execution

  • Strategic Planning: Develop, communicate, and execute a comprehensive marketing and merchandising strategy aligned with the company’s overall goals.
  • Campaign Management: Oversee the planning, execution, and performance measurement of marketing campaigns across various channels (digital, print, events, etc.).
  • Market Research: Conduct market research to identify trends, customer preferences, and competitive landscapes. Translate insights into actionable strategies.
  • Brand Development: Shape and enhance our brand identity, ensuring consistency across all touchpoints.
  • Digital Marketing: Lead digital initiatives, including SEO, SEM, social media, email marketing, and content creation.
  • Customer Experience: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance the customer journey and drive engagement.

 

Merchandising and Product Presentation

  • Product Assortment: Work closely with product teams to curate a compelling product assortment that resonates with our target audience.
  • Digital Merchandising: Define visual merchandising guidelines for e-commerce platforms, and other sales channels.
  • Pricing Strategies: Develop pricing strategies that balance profitability, market positioning, and customer value.
  • Inventory Management: Optimize inventory levels, monitor sell-through rates, and make data-driven decisions.
  • Promotions and Seasonal Campaigns: Plan and execute promotional events, seasonal launches, and product releases.

  • Team Management: Lead and inspire a high-performing marketing and merchandising team. Foster a culture of creativity, collaboration, and accountability.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with sales, product development, design, and operations teams to align efforts and achieve business objectives.
  • Vendor Relationships: Manage relationships with external vendors, agencies, and partners.
  • Budget Oversight: Develop and manage budgets for marketing and merchandising activities.

  • Experience: Proven track record in senior marketing and merchandising roles, preferably within the retail or consumer goods industry.

  • Bilingual language in Spanish / English are a plus
