JOB SUMMARY: Utah Hockey, a brand-new NHL franchise, is seeking a knowledgeable and entertaining TV Analyst to join our broadcast team and provide insightful analysis alongside our Play-by-Play Announcer.Become the voice of insight for our exciting new chapter in hockey!
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: - Offer insightful and entertaining analysis alongside the TV Play-by-Play Announcer, providing context, strategy breakdowns, and player anecdotes to enhance the broadcast experience.
- Break down key plays, analyze player performance, and highlight game-changing moments throughout the broadcast.
- Partner with the Play-by-Play Announcer to maintain a smooth and engaging broadcast flow, creating a dynamic on-air duo.
- Work closely with the broadcast team to prepare for games, including researching opponents, players, and storylines.
- Teach the game to a new audience without talking down to hockey fans.
- Provide pre-game/intermission/post-game analysis and insights on opposing teams, player matchups, and storylines.
- Participate in promotional/sponsor activities and community events to build excitement for the team and connect with fans.
- Maintain a professional and engaging on-air presence, fostering a positive image for the team, and the NHL.
- Contribute and collaborate on the team's social media and streaming content efforts.
- Represent the team at press conferences and other team/media events, gathering information to generate content for broadcasts and streaming platforms.
- Travel to road games.
- Participate in content captures and other features for the franchise's streaming product.

QUALIFICATIONS: - Minimum 3-5 years of experience as a hockey analyst or color commentator (television or radio preferred).
- Extensive knowledge of hockey strategy, player evaluation, and the current NHL landscape.
- Excellent communication and analytical skills with the ability to break down complex hockey concepts for a general audience.
- Strong on-air presence with a charismatic and engaging personality.
- Ability to think quickly and provide insightful commentary in real-time.
- Proven ability to work effectively with a Play-by-Play Announcer, creating a cohesive broadcast team.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS: - This person must be able to communicate and express themselves both written and verbally.
- This person must be able to observe, inspect, estimate and assess.
- This person must be able to sit, stand, bend, walk, and climb stairs for long periods of time.
- This person must be able to lift 20 lbs.
