Insight Global is seeking a Telecommunications Network Engineer to support a Network Services Program with the Defense Logistics Agency (DLA). The selected candidate will be joining a team of ten (10) engineers onsite in New Cumberland, PA. Ideally, this person will have strong ability to install, configure, maintain networking hardware and software; Ability to troubleshoot, administer, configure, and maintain Cisco, Nexus, Ruckus, or equivalent; and background with Networking Protocols, Management, and Security technologies such as IPv6, IPv4, OSI Model Layers (1-7), NetScout, WireShark, Great Bay Beacon Server, etc.

Manage the evaluation and cost estimation of voice and data WAN services from telecommunications carriers, design access and backbone networks using carrier services, and manage the analysis and design of wireless voice or data networks (using private radio facilities or commercial services).

Analyze and develop telecommunications networks supporting a wide range of capabilities, including voice, data, video, and/or wireless services from project inception to conclusion.

Analyze and define any problems and the characteristics being transported to develop system requirements and specifications

Make recommendations, if needed, for approval of major network installations.

Closely coordinate with other information system professionals to ensure proper implementation of network services.

Provide technical and administrative direction for personnel responsible for telecommunications network design, implementation, and operations tasks, including the review of work products for correctness, adherence to the design concept and to user standards and progress in accordance with schedule.

Prepare milestone status reports, and deliveries/ presentations on network progress to colleagues, subordinates, and end user representatives.

Skills and Requirements

Active DOD Secret clearance

7 years' related experience in network operations

Must be IAT-II certified equivalent to CompTIA Security Must have at least two (2) of the following: CWNP, BPIPA, CCDA, CCNA, CCNP, CCIE, CCSPA, or SCNA null
