Job Title: Technical Writer

Location: Newport Beach, CA

Duration: Long Term

Role Overview:

• Seeking a Technical Writer to document internal standards, policies, and procedures to ensure compliance with the Digital Operational Resilience Act (DORA).
• Documentation Expertise: Proven experience in writing formal documentation that meets regulatory standards, ideally within the financial services or asset management sectors.
• Regulatory Knowledge: Familiarity with regulatory compliance frameworks, preferably within the EU, but not mandatory. Willingness to quickly learn and adapt to DORA requirements.
• Information Synthesis. Abiity to gather and synthesize information from various internal sources such as Wiki, Intranet, and other documentation repositories

Areas of Focus:

• Capacity Management and Load Balancing: Document processes to ensure systems can handle peak loads and maintain operational efficiency.
• Monitoring and Alerting: Develop documentation for continuous monitoring and alerting systems to detect and respond to incidents promptly.
• Failover Testing Create detailed procedures for regularj failover testing to ensure seamless transition to backup operations.
• Backup and Restoration: Document robust backup and restoration processes to ensure data integrity and availability.
• Incident Response: Develop TechOps / NOC playbooks for incident response, including incident tracking and corrective action logs.
• Stakeholder Collaboration: Strong interpersonal skills to work effectively with internal stakeholders, including IT, legal, and compliance teams.
• Attention to Detail: High level of attention to detail to ensure accuracy and completeness of documentation.
• Project Management: Basic project management skills to track progress and ensure timely completion of documentation tasks
• Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills to articulate complex regulatory requirements in a clear and concise manner.

Preferred Experience:

• Previous experience In a global asset management company or similar financial institution is a plus.
