We are looking for a skilled and experienced Special Education Teacher to provide remote teletherapy services to middle school students across various school districts. As a fully remote position, you'll have the freedom to teach from the comfort of your own home, while enjoying the flexibility and balance that comes with a virtual teaching environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide virtual English Language Arts instruction to middle school students with special education needs.
Deliver personalized educational support through teletherapy, adapting lessons to meet students' individual learning styles.
Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) for students, ensuring all educational goals are met.
Monitor student progress and adjust instructional strategies as needed to ensure success.
Communicate regularly with parents, guardians, and school staff to collaborate on student progress and any required adjustments.
Use a variety of virtual tools and platforms to engage students and create an interactive learning experience.

Job Details:

Start Date: November 2024
Hours: Full-Time
Caseload: Middle School - English Language Arts

Qualifications:

A Bachelor's degree in Education or Special Education is required.
A Master's degree in Special Education is preferred.
Must hold a valid Special Education Certification in Washington State.
Previous virtual teaching experience is preferred but not required.
Strong communication and organizational skills are essential.

Additional Requirements:

Must have liability insurance and be comfortable working as an independent contractor.
Access to a home computer with high-speed internet.
Successfully pass a basic technology screening to ensure smooth virtual teaching.
