Skilled Laborer

A local construction company, building custom homes in the Flathead Valley, is looking for Skilled Laborers. This position will play an important support role in construction projects by assisting with various tasks, including framing carpentry, wall and roof framing, sheathing, and metal panel installation. Pay: $20 to $25/hour, depending on experience
Schedule: Full-time

Essential Functions and Duties:

• Read and interpret blueprints and construction plans
• Assist in the construction and installation of wooden frames for walls and roofs and ensure all framing is level, plumb, and aligned according to specifications
• Support the assembly and installation of wall and roof frameworks
• Measure, cut, and secure sheathing materials to framing, and apply sheathing to walls and roofs as part of the structural support
• Handle and position metal panels safely and accurately
• Assist in the installation of metal panels on walls and roofs

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Experience in construction or a related field
• Understanding of framing carpentry, sheathing, and metal panel installation
• Ability to read and interpret construction blueprints and plans
• Familiarity with hand and power tools used in construction
• Physical stamina and the ability to work in various weather conditions
