POSITION OVERVIEW:

Our client, a leading law firm with a commitment to excellence and innovation, is seeking an associate attorney with two to five years of insurance litigation experience to join any of our Florida offices. The successful candidate will have a demonstrated understanding of insurance coverage issues and preferably additional experience with bad faith insurance issues.

Key Responsibilities:

Handle and manage insurance litigation cases, focusing on insurance coverage and bad faith issues.

Conduct legal research and draft motions, briefs, and other legal documents.

Provide strategic legal advice and representation to clients.

Collaborate with team members to develop and implement case strategies.

Participate in discovery processes, including depositions, interrogatories, and document reviews.

Represent clients in court hearings, mediations, and trials.

Qualifications:

Experience: 2-5 years of insurance litigation experience.

Knowledge: Demonstrated understanding of insurance coverage issues; experience with bad faith insurance issues is preferred.

Education: Excellent academic credentials.

Skills: Strong writing, interpersonal, and communication skills.

Additional Experience: Federal clerkship or state appellate clerkship experience is a plus.

Standard hours of work: Monday through Friday, 7:00AM–5:30PM. Some late nights and weekends may be required.

Must be able to lift and move up to 25 pounds at times.

Travel may be required up to 10% of the time.
