Our company, a leading player in the construction industry, is seeking a highly skilled Commercial Roofing Project Manager to join our team. This role is a unique opportunity for a seasoned professional with a solid background in Contract Management, Commercial Roofing, TPO, EPDM, Asphalt, Metal, Reroof, and new roofing projects. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing projects from inception to completion, ensuring that all work is completed on time, within budget, and to our high-quality standards. With a minimum of 5 years of experience in similar roles, the candidate will be a strategic thinker, a problem-solver, and a leader who can manage and motivate teams to deliver exceptional results.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee all aspects of construction project management, including planning, coordination, and execution.
- Ensure that all projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget.
- Develop comprehensive project plans to be shared with clients and other staff members.
- Manage relationships with clients, stakeholders, and suppliers.
- Oversee contract management, ensuring all contracts are correctly drafted, reviewed, and executed.
- Supervise commercial roofing projects, ensuring the use of appropriate materials and techniques (TPO, EPDM, Asphalt, Metal, Reroof).
- Coordinate with general contractors and other construction professionals to ensure project success.
- Perform risk management to minimize project risks and potential issues.
- Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation.
- Report and escalate issues to management as needed.
- Use project management tools and techniques to monitor working hours, budget, plans and money spend.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 5+ years of experience in commercial roofing project management in the construction industry.
- Proven working experience in contract management and commercial roofing.
- Solid technical background with understanding and/or hands-on experience in TPO, EPDM, Asphalt, Metal, Reroof.
- Excellent client-facing and internal communication skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Solid organizational skills including attention to detail and multitasking skills.
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office and project management tools.
- Bachelor’s degree in construction management, architecture, engineering, or related field preferred.
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is a plus.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines while maintaining a positive attitude and providing exemplary customer service.
- Ability to work independently and to carry out assignments to completion within parameters of instructions given, prescribed routines, and standard accepted practices.
- Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate a team.
- Knowledge of building codes and regulations.
