Stateline Family YMCA is currently hiring a part-time Personal Trainer with Lifecenter evening shifts for our Ironworks location. Candidates can expect:

• Personal Training hours and schedule dependent upon client load
• Lifecenter shifts would include three evenings a week and occasional weekends
• Paid training

KEY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Designs exercise programs for individual clients based on goals, interests, and capabilities
• Answers questions from clients to support them in achieving their goals related to healthy living. Maintains working knowledge of wellness and trends to provide effective information and support to members
• Builds effective, authentic relationships with members and clients; helps members connect with each other and the YMCA
• Keeps accurate personal training session records
• Follows YMCA policies and procedures; responds to emergency situations
• Answers questions from members to support them in achieving their goals related to healthy living
• Work one-on-one with members to direct them towards their health/wellness goals, as well as programs in the Y that best fit their goals
• Maintain and clean equipment according to the Wellness Center Cleaning Schedule, or as requested by supervisor or other management staff

QUALIFICATIONS:

Education & Experience

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• 1+ years' experience personal training and/or teaching group exercise preferred
• Certification as a personal trainer from an accredited program required

Skills

• CPR, First Aid and AED certification and/or experience a plus
• Ability to maintain positive, active and engaging presence in the facility
• Self-motivating and innovative
