Junior Recruiter (University Student)
We are seeking a remote Junior Recruiter Intern in the MD/DC/VA Metro area. This position offers a clear pathway for growth and provides valuable experience in recruitment, leadership, and business advisory roles. Preference will be given to applicants residing in a HUBZone area HUBZone Map (sba.gov) .
ROLE EXPECTATIONS
Learn and understand organizational hiring needs.
Engage with community services, colleges, agencies, and online platforms to source potential candidates.
Develop skills in customer service, candidate sourcing, screening, evaluation, and review.
Assist in creating and posting job descriptions.
Maintain communication with candidates throughout the recruitment process. Help build a pipeline of potential candidates for future openings.
Manage and maintain relationships with candidates and hiring managers.
Support senior leadership in enhancing and improving recruitment processes.
REQUIREMENTS
Previous experience in recruitment or customer service is a plus, but not required.
Two 5-hour shifts per week.
Preference for applicants residing in a HUBZone area HUBZone Map (sba.gov) .
Remote, part-time internship.
Strong phone skills, professionalism, punctuality, and an interest in diversity support.
Open-mindedness, excellent communication, patience, independence, critical thinking skills, familiarity with Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS) and Customer Relationship Management (CRM) systems, and proficiency in MS Office 365.
EDUCATION
Currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Human Resources, Information Technology, or a related field.
