Essential Responsibilities: Communication + Coordination Works with Partners to determine initial goals and program requirements for design projects. Collaborate and communicate with external Project Partners across disciplines i.e. architects, engineers, lighting designers, landscape architects and general contractors, etc....as well as, material and vendor reps, and other subcontractors and or experts (such as fitness, salon, LEED, ADA, kitchen, and lighting consultants, etc). Maintain and track external and internal project deadlines regardless of designated project role. Present, sell, + communicate design decisions (i.e. space plans, materials, furniture, and finishes) and changes internally / externally verbally. Creativity + Design Prepares hand or digital sketches or other visual aids to demonstrate designs intent. Analyzes movement and use patterns of the space. Uses design applications to prepare and illustrate final plans. Make finishes / material selections based on design concept, project standards and budget. Maintains current knowledge of trends and materials, techniques, and other developments in interior design. Strong visual design skills, including proportion and aesthetics. Creating design concepts based on deep historical, contemporary and community research Collaborate on creating a concept statement prepared in prose that speaks to the collective concept research and drives the shapes, forms, and materiality of each project. Advocate for elevated, soft, and human-centered design solutions. Construction Documentation / Construction Administration Understand how to create, read, and develop construction documentation based on DBD Standards and software's Engage in coordination with external drafting partners Respond to RFIs, Submittals Software / Qualifications Experience Ability to use industry software's i.e Revit, AutoCad Architecture, Enscape Microsoft Office Suite or related software. Photoshop, InDesign Education Bachelor's degree in Interior Design or related field or relevant creative professional experience Certification by National Council for Interior Design , if a desired goal 3P Careers specializes in placing engineers, architects, interior designers and related professionals.
