Job Description

• Expert-level engineering of full-stack responsive web applications that scale well using
  Microsoft technologies (ASP.NET, SQL Server, hosted in Azure) and integrations with other
  systems, proficient across the software development lifecycle. Some development may be
  using non-Microsoft technologies.
• Understand context and requirements, determine needed functionality, and develop creative
  designs and elegant implementations to produce good fit solutions. This sometimes involves
  collaborating directly with stakeholders and inquiring into their actual needs.
• Leader and subject-matter expert (SME): a long-term strategist, with an understanding and
  appropriate application of best practices, responsible for assuring that what is produced
  satisfies functional (end-user needs) and non-functional requirements (internal needs, such as
  maintainable, secure, responsive, avoiding technical debt, to standards, etc.)
• A sense of ownership; one who ideates; participates in decision-making; provides mentorship
  to other developers; does code reviews and evaluates quality.
• Independence on projects and tasks: self-directed and self-motivated. A professional
  producing quality and timely results even in the absence of close oversight. Validation and
  verification of one's own work.
• Regular and clear communication, making updates within the ticketing system, and developing concise documentation. Includes communicating technical information to non-technical audiences; and providing technical and non-technical feedback and recommendations to management.
• Commitment to data accuracy and integrity. Attention to detail. Involves validation, and
  sometimes troubleshooting and fixing source data.
• Adhesion to controls and industry standards, such as governance, processes, conventions,
  definitions & capable of creating and improving controls.
• Comfortable with Agile methodology, frameworks, and using related tooling (ticketing systems)
• Version control in a multi-developer environment
• Critical systems uptime monitoring, alerting, disaster recovery. Communicative with manager
  regarding potential issues.
• Team player who works well with others, including those of various skill levels
• Capable of greenfield development and maintenance of existing systems
• Security and data protection (such as encryption, user authentication and authorization,
  security best practices)
• Learn and adapt to different technologies, which may include developing software using nonMicrosoft systems and systems administration.
• Occasional participation in events outside the normal software engineering scope

• 7+ years
  o Full-stack responsive web application development using Microsoft technologies
  (ASP.NET, SQL Server, and hosted in Azure)
  o Version control (ideally Git, with GitHub)
• 3+ years
  o Microsoft SQL Server development using SQL Server Management Studio (SSMS)
  o Agile methodologies, SDLC, and ticketing system (ideally Jira)
• 2+ years
  o Microsoft Azure
  o Azure Data Factory and/or SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS) development and
  design
  o Microsoft Power BI analytics and/or Analysis Services (SSAS) report development
  and design
  o Microsoft Power BI Paginated Reports and/or SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS)
  report development and design
  o Technical integrations with Salesforce.com
• Background in secure or sensitive data environment with uptime assurance expectation
• Extensive Microsoft Windows and Microsoft Office experience. Comfortable with using MS
  Teams for communication.
