Job Description

Work Hours: 7:00 am to 4:00 pm, Monday through Friday, nights and weekends as needed

Primary Job Function:

Oversee and maintain the organization's fleet, tools, and inventory. Ensure vehicles are maintained and serviced efficiently to optimize time working. Maintain database with current information. Clear and concise communications with department managers and employees. Provide accounting with physical and electronic order slips and amounts daily. Ensure the team is performing effectively and meeting all deadlines and goals.

Reports to: General Manager & President

Responsibility:

• Establishes a schedule for recommended repair or replacement of fleet vehicles. 
• Establishes a schedule for recommended repair or replacement of company equipment and tools. 
• Operates forklift and other necessary vehicles and equipment, to properly handle materials being received, issued, stocked, and picked.
• Drafts and presents reports on department operations and expenses. 
• Develop and enforce procedures, policies, and safety protocols for all staff
• Collaborates with supervisors and staff to manage and reduce expenses such as fuel and repair costs. 
• Manages Inventory of vehicles.
• Creates Part Numbers
• Provide Payables with information to ensure correct billing. 
• Efficient on computer.
• Logs and tracks vehicle information.
• Completes regular vehicle inspections.
• Coordinate setting up vehicles (tools, stock, and lettering). 
• Maintain a clean, neat, orderly, and safe work area.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to read, understand, and follow directions/instructions/work. procedures/safety rules.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Performance Indicators:
Certain key business indicators that will measure the effectiveness of the Logistics Manager. These include the following:

• Ensuring equipment and inventory are ordered and arrive on time, customers are first priority and should be taken care of in a timely manner
• Maintains fleet and records for the fleet efficiently and accurately
• Timeliness in all aspects of the job
• Maintains communication with other departments effectively and respectfully
• Ensures staff is completing their roles efficiently and effectively
