Number of Positions: 2 (One in Mt. Pleasant, MI & another in Mount Clemens, MI)

Unit Name: Emergency Room
Shift: 12 Hour Nights (36 Hour Guarantee)
Duration: 13 Weeks
Location: Multiple Locations in Michigan (Mt. Pleasant, MI, 48858 & Mount Clemens, MI, 48043)

We are seeking a highly skilled Registered Nurse (RN) with Emergency Room (ER) experience to join our team for a 13-week assignment. The RN will provide direct patient care, demonstrating competent clinical practice in a fast-paced and frequently stressful environment. This role involves triaging patients, obtaining histories, assessing patient conditions, and providing care for both acute and non-acute patients.

Key Responsibilities:

• Patient Care:

  • Provide quality nursing care using the nursing process, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient care.
  • Triages patients, obtains patient history and vital signs, and initiates immediate care in the absence of a physician in life-threatening situations.

• Collaboration and Coordination:

  • Work collaboratively with other healthcare team members to maintain standards of professional nursing practice.
  • Direct, coordinate, and delegate activities to foster patient and family-centered care.

• Procedures and Interventions:

  • Perform multiple procedures utilizing both complex and simple nursing skills.
  • Assist physicians with procedures and provide appropriate interventions based on individual patient needs.

• Patient Support:

  • Provide physical and psychological comfort to patients, their families, and visitors.
  • Deliver discharge and follow-up instructions to patients and families.

• Emergency Response:

  • Answer ambulance radios and provide appropriate pre-hospital care orders independently.

• Experience:

  • 2+ years of Emergency Room nursing experience (Required)
  • QUICK STARTS ONLY - Start dates that are not ASAP will be redirected

• Certifications:

  • MI LARA License
  • BLS, ACLS (AHA) (Required)
  • TNCC or ENPC (Required)
