ActioNet has an immediate opportunity for an Installation Technician requiring a Secret clearance located in North Carolina, South Carolina, and Florida. ActioNet is an IT service provider and solutions integrator headquartered in Vienna, VA that works with the Federal Government and Department of Defense. In this role, you will be responsible for effectively be part of a crew of other installers in the completion of multiple-site installations.
As the Electronic/Installation Technician you will:
Be part of a crew of installers in the completion of multiple-site installations
Proficiency in installing, configuring, and troubleshooting various IT equipment (e.g., routers, switches, servers, VoIP systems)
Experience with structured cabling systems (copper and fiber optic)
Proficiency in using test equipment and diagnostic tools Familiarity with DoD standards and compliance requirements for IT installations
Ability to perform site surveys and accurately document existing infrastructure
Ability to read and interpret technical diagrams, blueprints, and schematics
Familiarity with network topologies and protocols; understand and correctly red-line as-built drawings.
Locate and correct installation errors such as standards violations and incorrect wiring.
Basic Qualifications:
High School diploma
2+ years of experience in IT equipment installation and maintenance, including at least 1 year working on government or DoD projects. Prior experience performing site surveys.
