The Chief Development Officer (CDO) at Achievement Centers for Children & Families (ACCF) drives all aspects of fundraising, donor relations, community engagement, and ensuring alignment with the organization's mission and strategic goals. The Chief Development Officer is also responsible for the day-to-day management of the development team's operations, including budgetary oversight, supervision of staff, and implementation of strategies for the fundraising and marketing efforts.
The CDO works closely with the board of directors and executive leadership to design and implement strategies that ensure long-term financial sustainability and foster relationships with key stakeholders. The CDO will act as the face of ACCF in the community, representing the organization at events, with donors, and within philanthropic networks while leading major gifts, planned giving, and capital campaigns.
· Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Management, Operations, or a related field is required.
· Master's degree (e.g., MBA, MPA, or a similar advanced degree) is preferred.
· Experience in a nonprofit or mission-driven organization (preferred but not required)
· Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Project management tools to coordinate cross-functional teams and track project process.
· Dedication to mission-driven work, with a strong alignment to the organization's values, ethics, and long-term goals.
· Commitment to respectful, positive behavior toward, and interactions with, children and families, colleagues, volunteers and visitors is a must
· Collaborative leadership style, with a focus on team development and creating a positive work environment that encourages innovation and growth.
· Must be able to utilize a computer for extended periods of time
· Must be able to endure repetitive wrist, hand, and/or finger movement while operating office equipment
· Requires clarity of vision at close distances while operating a computer
