Pay Rate: $20.00 to $22.00

Job Summary

Summary: Works with warehouse associates to prepare and move merchandise according to established safety, performance and accuracy standards.

Job Responsibilities:

• Ensures appropriate functions, duties, and procedures as directed by Warehouse Management.
• Receives, unloads, moves and loads merchandise.
• Maintains Purchasing system (Birchstreet experience preferred).
• Verifies correct counts of items received and notes discrepancies or damages.
• Issues and delivers items to the proper destination and obtains signatures to document delivery and receipt.
• Maintains proper storage of inventory merchandise to avoid spills or spoilage, rotates stock according to schedule.
• Maintains work area in a safe and proper manner, reports any unsafe and hazardous conditions.
• Manages and maintains stock control, including: plans future needs and adjusts par levels, processes stock orders, controls dead stock, maintains delivery schedules.
• Ensures FIFO system is used to minimize waste.
• Operate forklift or pallet jack or light utility cart when necessary. Job training provided.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements:

• Lifts and transports up to 75lbs.
• Must be able to walk and stand for long periods of time.
• Basic English writing, reading and math.
• Leadership Skills
